Create a list of questions before you open the book

Come up with atleast 10 questions of your own before starting to read. This will:

  • Anchor you to the reading and allow the knowledge to sink in. (known as "The Priming Effect"))
  • Keep you hooked to the book!

Example questions you can ask (generic):

  • What is the book really about?
  • What is being said in detail and how?
  • Is this book true in whole or part?
  • What do I make of the book?

Come up with your own specific questions before diving into the book as well!1
